THE STUDIO - ΤΟ STUDIO
Studio Plaka Kifisias was founded in 2020 by Kalliopi and Eleni Kousouri. It is situated in the heart of the historic district of Plaka Kifisia in Agios Dimitrios hill, and started with the aim of renovating, elevating and reusing the buildings of the area.
Alongside, the studio works in various architectural projects, following a holistic design approach, from the initial ideas to the execution of the project, with the goal to put the human experience in the center.
To studio Πλάκα Κηφισιάς δημιουργήθηκε το 2020 απο τις αρχιτέκτονες Καλλιόπη & Ελένη Κουσουρή. Βρίσκεται στην ιστορική συνοικία της Κηφισιάς Πλάκα, στον λόφο του Αγίου Δημητρίου και ξεκίνησε με στόχο την διατήρηση, ανάδειξη και επανάχρηση των κτιρίων του λόφου.
Παράλληλα το studio αναλαμβάνει αρχιτεκτονικά έργα με έμφαση σε μία ‘ολιστική’ προσέγγιση σχεδιασμού, η οποία διακρίνεται από την αρχική ιδέα ως την υλοποίηση του έργου, και έχει ως στόχο να θέσει στο επίκεντρο της διαμόρφωσης του χώρου, την ανθρώπινη εμπειρία.
OUR TEAM - Η ΟΜΑΔΑ
Kalliopi Kousouri studied in Architectural Association in London and trained at KPF office before joining Make architects in 2010. Amongst the projects she s worked on both in London and Hong Kong, she has led the residential team of multi-award winning Rathbone Square from concept to delivery of over 200 high end luxury apartments in the heart of London. Kalliopi was also project leader on the new Nobu Hotel and Mandarin Oriental in central London. She is a co-founder of Plaka Kifisias Studio. She is a registered member of ARB and Royal Institute of British Architects.
“Kalliopi’s work for both private and corporate clients in her passion project: “papercut stories” has been published and exhibited many times over the recent years.
Η Καλλιόπη Κουσουρή σπούδασε στην Architectural Association του Λονδίνου, έκανε την πρακτική της στην KPF, και στη συνέχεια έγινε μέλος της ομάδας των Make Architects το 2010. Ανάμεσα στα project για τα οποία εργάστηκε στο Λονδίνο κ στο Hong Kong, ηγήθηκε της ομάδας του σχεδιασμού συγκροτήματος 200 πολυτελών κατοικιών στο πολυβραβευμένο “Rathbone Square” στο κέντρο του Λονδίνου. Επίσης διεύθυνε την ανακαίνιση του Nobu Hotel & Mandarin Oriental στο κεντρικό Λονδίνο. Το 2020 δημιούργησε το studio Πλάκα Κηφισιάς. Είναι μέλος του ARB καθώς και του Royal Institute of British Architects.
To προσωπικό της project “papercut stories” έχει διακριθεί τα τελευταία χρόνια.
Eleni Kousouri studied Architecture at NTUA in Athens, and worked in design practices in both Athens and London.
She has specialised in e-design in interior design, working for delivering projects around the world.
Her passion for all things design comes in many scales with focus in Interior, Product, Graphic & Jewellery Design.
In 2015 she founded Unravel Design Studio, a studio that researches how computation and digital fabrication can inform design today.
She is a co-founder of Plaka Kifisias Studio where she focuses in exploring how the digital tools of our time can help designers create more meaningful physical spaces that put human wellbeing at the centre of what we create.
Η Ελένη Κουσουρή σπούδασε Αρχιτέκτων Μηχανικός στο Εθνικό Μετσόβιο Πολυτεχνείο, και έχει εργαστεί σε αρχιτεκτονικά γραφεία στο Λονδίνο και την Αθήνα. Τα τελευταία χρόνια ειδικέυεται στο μέλλον του e-design στο σχεδιασμό εσωτερικών χώρων, δουλεύοντας σε έργα σε όλον τον κόσμο, και ενδιαφέρεται για το design σε όλες τις κλίμακες, απο interior, product, graphic design και σχεδιασμό κοσμημάτων. Το 2015 ίδρυσε το unravel design studio, στο οποίο διερευνά πως ο υπολογιστικός σχεδιασμός και η ψηφιακή κατασκευή μπορούν να βελτιώσουν τον σύγχρονο σχεδιασμό. Το 2020 ίδρυσε το Studio Πλάκα Κηφισιάς.
